Top Hat - Chris is proud to be associated with the first ever stage adaptation of the 1935 RKO film of Irving Berlin’s TOP HAT, which starred Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, produced by Kenny Wax Ltd.  Following a 17 week UK tour during 2011,  the show starring Tom Chambers and Summer Strallen, will receive it’s West End stage premiere at the Aldwych Theatre on 9th May 2012.

Ragtime -  Chris will be returning to The Open Air Regents Park Theatre  who are performing this production.  First previews start on 18th May and opening night on 28th  May 2012.

Me and My Girl - after a successful run and rave reviews at The Crucible Theatre in Sheffield, a West End Transfer is scheduled for 2012.

Rebecca - Daphne Du Maurier production currently in development prior to a Broadway opening in 2012.

Hannah Waddingham Live at The Chocolate Factory CD - Backed by a superb 10 piece band, featuring a selection of stunning songs - everything from swing and show tunes to pop and jazz with musical direction by Chris Walker. 


Mountain Heritage Trust

Julie was recently appointed as Chair of the Mountain Heritage Trust who will have a presence at the ‘Our Sporting Life’ exhibitions which are scheduled to coincide with the London Olympics in 2012.

Jam Busters

Julie is currently writing a 100,000 word book based on the history and work of the Women’s Institute due for publication by Simon & Schuster in the Autumn of 2012.

When the Children Came Home

Following the success of Stranger in the House, Simon & Schuster have also published  Julie’s latest book When The Children Came Home.  This moving account, tells the story of what happened when evacuee children returned home after weeks, months or years away during the Second World War. So much has appeared in print, on television and in films about the children leaving home but little has been written about their return.

Everest Needs You Mr Irvine

Following a successful tour in the autumn of  2011, Julie is currently planning another theatre tour of the UK with her  hugely engaging talk “Everest Needs You Mr Irvine”. This illustrated lecture captures Sandy Irvine’s brief life and continues to debate what happened to George Mallory and Sandy Irvine during their ascent of Mount Everest in June 1924.

Children and War

An exhibition which opened at the Oxfordshire Museum in Woodstock in October 2011 touches on many aspects of war and the effect it had on children’s lives. From boy soldiers, girl guides, war toys and games, to innocent victims of all wars, it challenges the visitor to consider that war is not always disastrous for children. It is organised by the soldiers of Oxfordshire in advance of their museum opening in 2014.


BBC 2 - 10-part Art series: 'Show Me The Monet'

BBC Two has commissioned a 2nd series of ‘Show Me the Monet’.

Produced by Lucky Day Productions, David is returning as one of three judges working with a wide variety of artists from across the nation.

As part of the “Hanging Committee” (a panel of three renowned art experts) David will judge a wide selection of material from both amateurs and professionals alike. Work submitted could include paintings, sculpture, photography, drawings and ceramics.

Finalists work will culminate in a new exhibition where members of the art establishment, together with members of the public, can view and buy the work selected. All the work at the exhibition will have a guide price attached and offered for sale by sealed bids.

Rachel is currently auditioning for a number of productions having just completed a 9 month contract onboard Cunard’s Queen Mary 2 worldwide cruise. As a Principal Artist, Rachel performed everything from spectacular musical theatre to fabulous dance shows in the Royal Court Theatre on board the ocean liner.

Channel 4 - 5 part series: ‘Home of the Future’

A new five-part series produced by TwoFour Productions, transforms a family's home from top-to-bottom, filling it with futuristic technology and gadgets. Overseen by expert Chris Sanderson, the family discovers how we may work, rest and play - as well as eat, travel, stay healthy and power our homes in the future.

As well as having cutting-edge technology and gadgets to play with, the family are challenged by scenarios likely to come in the next 20 to 50 years. The series looks at the effects of working from home and living in multi-generational households and questions what we eat when cheap food is gone and mass-produced meat is unsustainable.  TX from Sunday 12th February 2012 at 7pm

BBC 2 - Just a Minute

In 2012, one of the BBC's longest running Radio Comedy series, Just A Minute, will turn 45.

To celebrate over four and a half decades of avoiding "Repetition, Hesitation and Deviation", Just A Minute will deviate its way to television on BBC Two Daytime for 10 very special episodes.

Nicholas Parsons will chair the show just as he did on its very first broadcast back in 1967. Sticking faithfully to the well loved radio format, each episode will see a selection of comics and well known performers attempt to talk for one minute on a given subject.

He will be returning to the Edinburgh Festival in August 2012 with his “One Man Comedy Hour” which has run for over twelve successful years.

Nepal-Bardia: Giant Elephant Expedition - 2012:


The 2012 Family Expedition 29th March - 10th April 2012
In the Easter school holidays JBS is planning a 2 week expedition for adult members of the family and children over 11 years of age. There will be a total of 16 persons who would assemble in Kathmandu, fly down to Bardia to be accommodated in a comfortable tented base camp on the banks of the Kamali River. Nepalese staff from the celebrated Tiger Mountain Company, many of whom speak English will look after the team and there will be trained tame elephants for safaris into the jungle.

The 2012 Senior Elephant Quest Expedition 12 - 25th April 2012

The aim is to study the wild elephants and catalogue the tiger, rhino and wildlife in the Bardia reserve. The results will be passed to the Nepalese Department of National Parks and Wildlife Conservation.

Kota Mama VIII Expedition - Bolivia 25th Aug - 12th Sept 2012

The aim is community aid the people in need along the Rio Beni. The area was severely flooded in 2011. The water charity 'Just a Drop' have agreed to fund six wells and a filtration system at these villages.

Waorani Expedition - Ecuador 15th Sept - 1st Oct 2012

The Waorani indigenous people of Eastern Ecuador suffer from water systems polluted by oil and they urgently need clean drinking water. The Environment Ministry have asked John Blashford-Snell and his colleagues to help. Following a recce in April 2011, with support of the Just a Drop charity, a team will be installing clean water systems in three villages in September 2012.

Speaking and Lecture Engagements - 2012

Stephen will continue with his highly successful talks starting with ‘In the Steps of Eric Shipton’ at the Keswick Lecture Society and speaking at the TEDx conference in Manchester. Further talks will include ‘Everest and Beyond’ (in the Netherlands) and ‘Mr Everest - Journeys in the Steps of Eric Shipton’ for the Royal Scottish Geographical Society.

Antartic Peninsula - skiing and mountaineering - 2013

Having just returned from another very successful South Georgia expedition, Skip Novak and I are now committed to leading an Antarctic Peninsula expedition in February 2013. There are eight places available on board Pelagic Australis for 28 days of glorious sailing, climbing, skiing and wildlife‐watching.

South Georgia Mountaineering Expedition Autumn 2011


Stephen has been three times to the sub-antarctic island of South Georgia.  As with the successful 2008 expedition, the 2011 trip used Skip Novak’s purpose-built 25 metres yacht, Pelagic Australis, to sail from the Falklands to South Georgia and back. The voyage generally takes four or five days across one of the most remote stretches of water on earth, to an island famed for its unique wildlife, exploration heritage and stunning mountains rising 9,000 feet straight out of the ocean.
